a civil wedding ceremony

CIVIL WEDDING CEREMONY

The legal marriage of non-Spanish citizens is valid in Spain if either party is currently residing in Spain, and has been, for a minimum of 2 years. The residence certificate - "certificado de empadronamiento" - is one of the many documents that will be requested in order to file for the civil ceremony.

In order for the wedding to be valid legally in your country of origin, you may opt to be married in your country's Consulate in Spain, or you may be legally married in the courthouse or town hall where you currently reside. Crystal Events will assess you on the legal filing process and the option that is best suited to your needs.

Should you opt to have the formal signing in the courthouse of your country of origin, we can arrange a stunning symbolic wedding with an exchange of vows ceremony in a breathtaking venue in Barcelona. It’s personalized to your liking, making the symbolic ceremony even more beautiful than the official, legal one!

As the requisites and laws may vary from country to country, we recommend that you contact us for more information. We will be happy to assess you on the different ceremonies.
